Do the 8 week skills camp classes accommodate all types of skill levels (beginner and experienced)?
Absolutely. We welcome all skill level players to our camps with wide open arms. Our camps have been designed to ensure that whether you are a beginner level player or an experienced one - each and every player will feel comfortable and confident during their entire camp experience with us. At our baseball camp - no playing experience is required.

Joining our 8 week skills camps is the most ideal way for players to get their foot in the door with Hit & Run Baseball Academy and train with current and former Harbourcats players. Our 8 week baseball skills camps are designed to train, develop and challenge both the beginner level and experienced level baseball players. Every players skill level will be assessed by our coaches during the first class. Players will then be grouped with players at their similar skill level and age groups so players feel comfortable during the entire 8 week camp on Thursdays.
For which age groups do you have classes for?
We currently provide baseball/softball skills and practice classes for boys & girls every Thursday - for the following ages:

Boys & Girls (Co-ed)

Why is commitment important in baseball/sports?
We highly encourage our players to dedicate themselves to our 8 week camp, and this is why:

We believe that our duty as parents is to always give our children unconditional love, support and encouragement overall in life and in sports; win or lose.  If your child has never played baseball before (and this is their first time) - then there is a small possibility your child may feel discouraged after a few practices due to their current level of skill (in their mind anyways). But - THIS IS WHERE THE PARENT(S) COMES IN! Sometimes we as parents need to give our children a little extra nudge of encouragement towards how important commitment is in overall life and most importantly; in basketball.

Baseball is a game of practice, repetitive movements and habit - and from there is when skill is developed (over time). Skill is NOT naturally engrained in a baseball player; meaning they are not born with baseball playing skills. Skill comes from dedication,  continuous practice, continuous repetitive movements and by creating positive habits.  Rest assured we at Hit & Run Baseball Academy will give our 110% to create a positive learning environment for your child and encourage them fully, regardless of their skill level at the moment. Our objective first is to help improve their confidence in themselves; and from there your child will excel in all areas of sports and baseball.

Our baseball program will run all year round!

Being committed to something will not only teach them about their strengths, abilities and weaknesses, but also about THEMSELVES. Our 8 week baseball skills classes will help your child develop physical baseball skills, get exercise, make friends, have fun, learn teamwork, learn to play fair, and improve their overall self-esteem.

When does registration open?
SUMMER - 2025 Registration is NOW OPEN! You can register your player here: https://www.hitrunbaseball.com/registration.html

How much do your classes cost?
Our 8 week camp cost to attend our classes is $298.88 + taxes (our 8 week fee takes into consideration facility rental fees, insurance cost, staff wages, equipment cost, and external coaching wages).

Do you offer refunds once we have paid for your classes?
  • Players or parents wishing to withdraw from program(s) may do so up to three (3) weeks before the scheduled start date of the program and/or before the registration deadline date (if stated) for a full refund less $50 registration fee (non-refundable).
  • In case of illness or injury to a registered participant; a doctor's note must accompany a refund request. There is NO refund once the program has started.
  • If for any reason we do not have enough children enrolled for a specific age group and classes cannot commence, a full refund will be provided to all registrants or the option of practicing with the older age group will be provided.
  • Refunds WILL NOT be provided if you cancel during the actual progression of the 8 week classes.
  • We do not provide refunds for missed classes.
  • If COVID-19 provincial guidelines change in the future, to the extent that we can no longer run our camp programming, we will be providing pro-rated credits to players for future classes.

Does my child need to have baseball playing experience in order to enroll in your classes?
No, absolutely not. Even though we are a baseball camp, the main objective of our classes is for all children to learn and have fun. At Hit & Run Baseball Academy, all players are treated equally with respect regardless of their level of baseball skills. No player is better than the other and each player learns the value of working as a team. As long as the players are willing to learn and listen, we are hear to teach. In some circumstances we will subdivide the players based on their skill level so our coaches can provide coaching specific to a players' skill level.

Do the players and parents need to sign a waiver form prior to attending your classes?
Yes, all players and parents must sign our legal waiver form prior to attending classes. These forms will be provided to you after your registration for our classes.
