At Hit & Run Baseball Training and Academy, we offer Baseball Kids Camp and Classes visiting us from ages 6 to 14, across Victoria, Saanich, North Saanich, Central Saanich, Oak Bay, Esquimalt, View Royal, Colwood, Langford, Metchosin, Sooke, Westshore, Brentwood Bay, Sidney, Vancouver Island BC and the surrounding areas. Whether your child is new to baseball or experienced, we have baseball classes for everyone. Baseball experience is an asset, but not required here at Hit & Run Baseball Academy. Our mission is to provide the finest Kids & Youth Baseball Classes and Programs in the Victoria BC area. Although we focus on developing skills, at Hit & Run Baseball Academy its more important to focus on kids having FUN! Along with our Mission, our philosophy is simple: while learning and growing, kids should be able to feel good about themselves! Staffed with experienced professionals who love working with kids, Hit & Run Baseball Academy provides a safe, well equipped, positive environment. At Hit & Run Baseball Academy its all about fair play and having FUN, not simply competition. At Hit & Run Baseball Academy kids can be kids! Teamwork, sportsmanship, athleticism, a healthy lifestyle, balance, patience and perseverance, the essential lifelong skills that only sports can teach, are lost on far too many kids today. Hit & Run Baseball Academy teaches how to win and lose and, most importantly, how to have FUN! The distraction of countless television channels, video games and web sites make it very difficult for kids to get out and just be allowed to be kids! Sadly for many, the repercussions of a childhood spent on the couch, with such passive pursuits, may last a lifetime.

Winter 2025 Camp - January 09, 16, 23, 30 & February 6, 13, 20, 27 (8 Weeks - Every Thursday)

​Joining our 8 week skills camps is the most ideal way for players to get their foot in the door with Hit & Run Baseball Academy
Our 8 week baseball & softball skills camps are designed to train, develop and challenge both the beginner level and experienced level players

BEGINNER LEVEL PLAYERS

Assessments: Every players skill level will be assessed by our coaches during the first class. Players will then be grouped with players at their similar skill level and age groups so players feel comfortable during the entire 8 week camp on Thursdays.

Pitching: Your child will learn the basics of pitching involves body balance, body stance, stride, wind up and delivery of the ball and different styles of gripping the ball.

Hitting: Your child will learnt the basics of hitting which involves a bat, batter’s helmet, the batter’s box, and a ball. The ability to hit the ball is accomplished by executing and repeating specific steps. Play this video to view the elements and physical activity required to hit a ball.

Catching: Your child will learnt the basics of the basics of catching which involves a fielding glove and a ball. The ability to catch the ball is accomplished by executing and repeating specific steps. Play this video to view the elements and physical activity required to catch a ball.

Throwing: Your child will learn the basics of throwing which involves gripping and releasing a ball from the hand. The ability to throw the ball is accomplished by executing and repeating specific steps. Play this video to view the physical elements and physical activity required to throw a ball.

Fielding: Your child will learn the basics of fielding where a ball that is rolling along the ground involves a fielding glove and a ball. Base Running: Your child well learn the basics of running to the bases on a baseball or softball field involve a circuit of starting at home plate and advancing clock-wise to first, second, and third bases, before turning to touch home plate . EXPERIENCED LEVEL PLAYERS

We prioritize teaching players how to step out of their comfort zone, recognizing its importance for personal growth and success both on and off the baseball field. We prioritize the development of basic fundamentals while also introducing more advanced techniques that reflect the evolution of the game.

Work in group lessons with an experienced coach (and other experienced players) who plays at the collegiate to build a professional training plan designed for your lifestyle, preferences and goals Our tailored sessions use advanced video analysis, objective data-driven measurement, progress tracking to ensure quantifiable improvement. Our 8 week camp focuses on improving players overall baseball skills. ​Our facility has multiple batting cages, full size bull pens, technology, full gym and world class trainers. Our camps will focus on younger players playing in a environment designed to improve their game awareness per position, focus on proper warm up & improve their hitting, catching and throwing routine.
